Piano Recordings and Texas A&M Memories

Nov 1, 2021 | Life Journal

Lately, due to the Covid pandemic, most people work from home and avoid getting together. I'm no exception. Playing the piano has then become a daily routine during these times. Below I recorded some pieces. From left to right, top to bottom, these are:

Chopin Op.10 No.12 in c minor Chopin Op.25 No.11 in a minor Chopin Op.10 No.1 in C major Schumann Op.9 No.12 in A♭ major Chopin Op.25 No.5 in e minor Chopin Op.10 No.3 in E major Chopin Op.35 Mv.3 in b♭ minor

Talking about the piano always brings back memories from my time at Texas A&M University. I attended Texas A&M from 2015 to 2020 for my PhD studies. The school had fantastic student facilities, including many public pianos and practice rooms in the Memorial Student Center and some churches on campus that students could use for free. One notable piano was the Steinway grand in the Flag Room, which sounded heavenly. Because of these resources, I picked up the piano again after not touching it for almost 15 years. Playing the piano and going to the gym were then part of my daily routine alongside my research. Great times!

The last 3 videos below are some of these precious memories.
