Sanya and Xisha

Sanya, one of the only tropical cities in China. One of my favorite places in winter. Well, it doesn't really have a winter. Sanya Bay, 三亚湾, one of Sanya's landmarks, not far from home, where I go for a walk or run everyday. Haitang bay, 海棠湾 where people go shopping duty-free. And the Nanshan temples, 南山寺, with the huge Guanyin statue and all that buddhism shrines, chill and peaceful.

Tianya village, translates to the village at the edge of the world, 天涯小镇. A small village with local residents, cafes and Airbnb-style hotels. Away from downtown Sanya, cozy and chill.

Xisha islands, 西沙群岛, the southernmost point of China. Takes one whole day by ship to get there from Sanya. But it's definitely worth visiting. The ocean was incredibly clean and the white sand beach was just beautiful.
